vintage woven metal handbag sculpture

I nearly missed out on sourcing this vintage handbag sculpture in my final day in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I saw it one evening, just before the antique store closed. It haunted me so much I had to contact the store owner, who opened the shop an hour early the next morning so I could grab it. 

This would be perfect as a magazine holder or fun storage for documents near a desk. Personally, I'd display this on a shelf or coffee table with dried flowers.
